Worst band on earth

It’s Fall Out Boy. I can’t get their music at all. It feels like I am eating McDonalds.
The All American Rejects are not great either, but definitely better than Fall Out Boy. I just don’t get why these people are famous. They feel more like sleezy pop than alternative rock to me. Then again, I don’t get hip-hop/rap and Jazz either.

You don’t get jazz? Modern jazz or slow jazz? Jazz is some of the best music on the planet, especially if you appreciate skilled musicians improvising.
I don’t get any jazz. And I don’t like improvising music. In fact, it’s that random sound of jazz that I can’t stand. I like music that’s well planned, and has recognizable hooks in it. If I can’t sing it or murmur it in the shower, it ain’t for me.
What I like from Cloud Cult for example, which is an experimental band, is that while they are experimental and unpredictable, they are so in a good way. Their melodies are always recognizable, no matter how the music has changed during a song’s progression. With jazz, it just feels random to me, there is no melody that I can hook on. I don’t like that at all.
If it’s any consolation, the new Green Day single sucks ass.
If you don’t like “improvised music”, maybe Weather Report is a cool “jazz” band for you.
The rule of thumb is that if jazz sounds “random”, it’s probably bad jazz, or not jazz at all. 🙂
As for hip hop, I like KRS One and Immortal Technique.
I tried all the bands you mention here on itunes, and I don’t like any of what they have to offer. My brain doesn’t get stimulated by these beats. If anything, they make me want to turn off iTunes.
Even this one?
I find it very so-so, although better than their current album’s singles.
