Sarah Connor Chronicles

I just watched a special broadcast of the “Terminator” series that FOX will air next week. It sucks. It feels cheap, boring, and direction was bad. It felt a lot like the “Bionic Woman” actually. Avoid.

That’s a shame, coz the Sarah Connor Chronicles could have been really good. Apparently Virgin 1 is going to show it, so I reserve judgement till I’ve actually seen it, but shame on them.

As for the Miopic Woman – Michelle Ryan, what a feckin’ joke! She was a 2-bit actress in a crappy soap opera over here (Eastenders), hasn’t done any TV since leaving that show 2 or 3 years ago, (she did a bit of theatre apparently), and I have no idea (other than that she is quite fit) as to how she ended up playing that role. Her accent (from the single episode I have seen) is appalling. Apparently ITV2 has bought the show and will be broadcasting it this year – HELP!!

Yeah, Bionic Woman sucks. A really poor production.

I felt the same about the Sarah Connor Chronicles after watching the first episode last night. It felt that was shot in Mexico rather than in New Mexico. 😉

And the story makes no sense either, it doesn’t follow the Terminator movies timeline, they jump in time from 1999 to 2007. Instead, they should have showed the “Chronicles” from 1984 until she supposedly died in 1997. That would have been in line with the movies and more interesting, because they could have used flashbacks to tell her story. And the cyborg that helps them, well, not very cool. The series just didn’t have any depth. Its plotline and the way the story was unveiled felt a lot like some pilot TV episodes of the 80s or early 90s. There is no greater mystery to follow, just stuff that happen quickly. And the romance between John Connor and the Cyborg is kinda lame, as the actress is 9 years older.

I don’t know what you saw, but I saw the 2 hour version that leaked months ago. I didn’t think it was bad. Summer Glau was in Firefly, and she can make it worth watching. This story takes place, or perhaps the Terminator 3 story takes place, in an alternate timeline. I hated Terminator 3. It was utter crap. I don’t think this is.

To be honest, I saw the pilot leak of Heroes, and it didn’t look very good from what I saw, but it got better after a few episodes.

I’m hoping that Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles can do the same, just like Star Trek: TNG.

At least give it 5 episodes.

If Summer were to marry me, she’s be Summer Summers !

Summer Glau makes a very lame cyborg. Just because you have the hots for her it doesn’t make that TV series any good.

As for alternative timelines, come on…

I’d take the TV series over the 3rd movie that didn’t deserve to be made. The only thing it had from the first two was the doctor and Arnold.

These shows involve time travel, so yes alternate timelines work. The 3rd movie sucked so bad it shouldn’t be canon anyway. It was only made to make money.

I didn’t point out that you had the hots for William Fichtner now did I ?

At least we all can agree on Bionic Woamn sucking.

I did have the hots for Fichtner, but if one of his movies would suck, I would be objective out it. The Terminator 3rd movie was much better than this TV series. It wasn’t as good as the other two movies, but overall it was not a bad production.

Terminator III “not a bad production”? It’s sucks so bad it made me want to jab my eyes out. It had NOTHING of the first two movies, NOTHING.

You are looking at the problem from the wrong point of view. T3 was not a bad production in its overall objective value. It was not nearly as good as the first two movies, it sucked compared to the first two movies. BUT. It was MUCH better than OTHER movies that are out there. If you take it as an one-time movie, the production was NOT bad. It was not what you EXPECTED based on the previous two movies, but the T3 on its own was not a “bad” movie in its absolute value. Not by a long shot.

However, this TV series IS bad. It is MUCH worse than T3, and much worse than other TV productions. So compared to that TV series, T3 was Oscar material.
