Reproducing Solomon’s grading

The most popular HV20 sample video is Solomon Chase’s “Rainy Day“, which I have blogged about before (720p version here). He never revealed exactly how he color graded his footage, so tonight I got to work and tried to reproduce it. Here’s my result:

The boy’s shirt is slightly darker in Salomon’s footage compared to yours, but for the rest it’s right on. I like it a lot.
You illustrate something you pointed out in an earlier tutorial: you enforce a colour that is predominant in a scene. Here it is very obviously yellow, not green.

Yes, I fixed the contrast issue after i had uploaded the images. It just needs to get brightness down 0.06 or contrast to 0.22.
