Behold, the new Linkin Park, the Hollywood Undead. Edgier, thornier than anyone else in the market right now. Just bought their album on iTunes, it rocks hard (more than it raps)!
Just because they wear masks doesn’t make them Slipknot. The kind of success they enjoy currently, and kind of music they play, it’s a continuation of Linkin Park’s career and art. It’s like the next level of the Linkin Park phenomenon.
The difference between Slipknot and Linkin Park isn’t that great. They both originated in the same numetal genre, off the back of Korn and the Deftones anyway.
Link not available outside of the US, so can’t assess any further.
Re: Slipknot being metal… they’re both in the same genre, numetal. Linkin Park went more the Deftones and Limp Bizkit direction, where as Slipknot went more the Korn and Coal Chamber route. But to categorize them, they are the same movement.
>Slipknot are heavier. HUndead are closer to Linkin Park musically.
Sure, but doesn’t mean that Slipknot and Linkin Park aren’t both numetal. If you want to classify music, you need to appreciate the genres and sub genres within the scene. Numetal was pretty much what I listened to from about 1997 till 2005, so I know my Numetal scenesters 😉 It’s not important though, so let’s not worry any more about it.
Look at all the people trying to put down Hollywood Undead. I think thy are awesome. Eugenia, have you heard “Bitches” by them. It was never released though. You gotta find via other means.

Look more like slipknot to me.

Slipknot are more hard/heavy metal than either Linkin Park or Hollywood Undead.
I think they look pretty ridiculous.
Wow, and I thought KISS and their face paint was lame.
KISS suck though. At least these guys make for some good music.
RIDICULOUS! These kids are trying to be LA gangsters? they are all obviously very young and from suburbia, bunch of posers.
Music rocks though.
