Sci-Fi museum

I am currently watching “the Scifi boys” documentary, interviewing lots of sci-fi directors and visual effects artists. Believe it or not, it kinda saddens me to see that these guys have some classic exhibits on their homes and offices rather than being donated to the Sci-Fi museum in Seattle. I could see there stuff from the Metropolis’ robot to the Bicentennial Man.

I was fortunate to see the Robby robot from “Forbidden Planet” in real life (in Metreon, San Fransisco a few years ago) and the pod from the Phantom Meance race (yes, the real, full size pod). But all this stuff, and a hell lot more that are currently rotting in the studios’ storage rooms, they all belong to a museum.
