TV rants and thoughts

This is the proof that the main “Lost” storyline goes extremely slow in this last season. A 45 minute episode perfectly encapsulated in a 3:45 minute recap video! Damn it, nothing really happens anymore on “Lost”! The first season was da bomb, but then it went downhill. And the ratings are showing exactly that. The return of “Lost” in the 10 PM timeslot yielded one of the worst ratings the show ever had. Hopefully, the show will do well-enough to end it in 5 seasons as the producers are hoping for.

In the meantime, “24″ is getting old. For the third straight week “24″ lost the first place in the 9 PM timeslot ratings to “Heroes”! It seems no one was expecting this new show, “Heroes”, to perform so well. Now FOX is considering putting “24″ on the 8 PM timeslot, or we might see the once very popular show slipping dangerously. And FOX would not want this to happen, given that they paid Sutherland 30 million dollars for the last 3 seasons already!

Update: Apparently, the “Lost” producers have given up a major easter egg: it might be that the whole story has to do with black holes and time warp. It might be another dimension that the island exists on. This would explain why they left Michael to go off with the boat (he has nowhere to go really), why Desmond could not escape the island even if he had a faster boat, and why boats or planes from different places of the world have crashed there in weird places. Additionally, the hatches might indeed be “saving the world” by using machines that bring balance to the black hole so that it doesn’t “eat” our whole planet. During the implosion of the hatch a temporary instability was created, that’s why we saw the two guys in Antartica getting a reading out of this instability. Initially, employees of Dharma could get in and out of this parallel universe, but as Mr Friendly said, since the “sky turned purple” they lost contact with the outside world.

I think it all comes to place now.

Maybe the producers put false clues in.

If it is a black hole they would have been crushed.

Plus a human can’t escape a black hole, so they were lied to(about escape) or it isn’t a black hole.

Maybe it’s a pocket universe, but I doubt it.

Maybe it’s just someplace under the ice, a lost world, if you will.

I think the ratings are low because they took it off the air for way too long, much longer than Heroes or Prison Break.

They also “canceled” it’s replacement Daybreak.

They should have brought it back early, or maybe shown the remaining episodes of Daybreak because it was already complete.

They could’ve shown some repeats in the same time slot.

The ratings will pick up when we get a few answers.

As I said, we should not take the meaning literally. I spoke of parallel universes, not directly a black hole. Although, both would be related in a way.

>Maybe the producers put false clues in.

Maybe. But things do make sense if you think that this place is not on Earth.

>The ratings will pick up when we get a few answers.

Well, we are waiting for these answers for 2 years now. I don’t think they want to give them to us. But they must pick up the action.

These show usually have this big book of facts all spelled out and the writers spend time revealing them slowly.

Lost seems to have more of them piling on top of each other.

Why was that woman on the island with Hurley but also in the mental ward with him?

What the deal with the numbers ? Cursed ?

3 or was it 4 toed statue ?

Smoke monster ?

It came up to Locke. The camera cut away I think. He’s not dead.

How can he walk ?

Why was he in the chair ? This one is soon to be answered.

What happened to Walt ? Why did he hear voices ?

Why did his dad go nuts ? Are they coming back ?

What about Mr. Eko and his brother ? Coincidence they’d both crash on the same place ?

What was the energy in the hatch ? Purple sky ?

Injection in Claire ? What about the quarantine on hatch ?
Why the hazard suit when Desmond crashed his boat ?
Are they infected with something ?

What happened to Desmond after hatch blew ? Soon to be answered, maybe.

He can tell the future now ?

Food drops from whom?

Ad infinitum.

How about some fucking answers ? I’m so full of questions I’m losing track of the tangles mess.

My guess is a bunch will be solved in one swipe, but come on and give us some.

Mike, please don’t create two new lines for each sentence you write. It makes it really hard to read your comment and makes it unnecessarily long. I have seen this on each comment you make. You can put together some sentences, and then create paragraphs. The way you write though, each sentence is its own paragraph… ;-)

You just have to complain about everything I do, don’t you ?

Not really. You read my blog. I complain about other people’s comment formats too, e.g. for those who don’t use HTML to make links. You take it personally again. You shouldn’t.

Well, ‘cause that was me too. I don’t take it personally. You complain about everyone.
