Five things you don’t know about me

Thom started it, so I guess I will continue. Over the years I have let out a lot of my personal information, but here are a few things you didn’t really know about me:

* A girl kissed me when I was 11. I hated it.
* I am afraid of pain itself more than anything else.
* I believe that the vast majority of people are stupid.
* I desire absolutely nothing (a baby would be nice though).
* I am lazy. I do work hard, but only when I get into the ‘mode’.

Thanks for sharing some secrets :)

>A girl kissed me when I was 11. I hated it

Not hard to imagine you hated it, since you always say you dislike women (though you claim you’re not sexist). It would have been a surprise if you have said: “A girl kissed me when I was 11. I loved it!” ;)

>I am afraid of pain itself more than anything else

Except masochists I guess none of us find too much fun in pain. So I agree with you in this one.

>I believe that the vast majority of people are stupid

And yet that vast majority would agree with you! How come we all think *others* are stupid and *we* are smart? Couldn’t it simply be that we’re just not intelligent enough to understand others?

>I desire absolutely nothing (a baby would be nice though).

Not sure if it’s completely true, but if it is, good for you. Buddhists always claim that desire is the root of pain and unhappiness.

>I am lazy. I do work hard, but only when I get into the ‘mode’

You look to me like an active person, though. Maybe you just get into the mode easily :)

How can you be afraid of pain? There are different kinds of pain. I love stress, and blunt impacts, absolutely am scared shitless of knives.

I’d rather get shot then sliced.

I hate them all. I prefer to live in nirvana. ;)

Or, it could be because most people _are_ stupid. Like, 90% or them of something. ;-)

>Not sure if it’s completely true, but if it is, good for you.

I don’t think it’s healthy to not desire anything. It’s a byproduct of boredom for me rather than a self conscious decision.

What about curious people, people who genuinley want to learn? What do you think about them?

I will say right now I don’t know nearly as much as you when it comes to open source and programming, but are you going to hold that against me even though I want to learn?

When I say that people are stupid, it doesn’t necessarily mean that I conceive stupidity by the lack of knowledge on programming or another science. Stupidity for me shows up when people don’t understand their world around them and basics, when voting for the wrong thing, when they are blindly zealots, and when they get into conversations about things that they have no knowledge about. For example, when I make a blog post that the “night is dark” and they reply things like “but I like my red dress”. Things like that irritate me. ;)

I think the proper statement is “they are stupid and this can be demonstrated in a finite purview”. It’s usually sufficient to ask an np-hard question such as : “should the catalog book of all catalog books that catalogue all other books except themselves, contain a reference to itself or not ? ”

Whatever happened to getting in a fight for the sake of bruising and getting bruised. *sigh*
Ok aside from that pain is misunedrstood. Tt lead to beneficial states as in stretching. It is also hidden in the simplest things, a bad pillow hurts your neck more than taking a slice of skin off your index finger — I know :D

JBQ must be sad. :-)

I think there are worst things than pain.

Do you mean physical or mental/emotional pain ?

>* I believe that the vast majority of people are stupid.

I think they might be ignorant, or maybe just too willing to follow other and not use their own judgment.

>* I am lazy. I do work hard, but only when I get into the ‘mode’.

Ha ! Ha ! I am teh laziestest !1! I winz !

Seriously, I suffer from learned helplessness and ADD.
