Japan loses key whaling vote

“Japan lost a crucial vote on Friday at a meeting of the International Whaling Commission that was a setback in its long-term drive to overturn a two-decade-old international ban on whaling.”

Hopefully, they will completely ban the hunting of the cetacean animals. I find it utterly inhuman hunting animals that their language goes up to the scale of 5 in complexity (english rates 9) and they are much more intelligent than dogs and monkeys. In fact, I just don’t understand how some countries still allow hunting dolphins and whales in this time and age. Don’t these people have any guilty conciousness? Or their brains are full of dollars incapable of thinking straight?

I feel disgraced to be a human.

I think the bigger problem are animal rights in general. First stop the bio-industry. That is much more to be ashamed of than whale hunting. And whale-hunting in itself is already something to be ashamed about.

How about culture ? If whale hunting is rooted in your culture , you would not think that way. But I don’t think Japanese culture has whale hunting in it’s roots.

Thom, don’t be idiotic. Animal testing has its place, or do you plan to stop taking virtually every drug ever developed? Where do you draw the line? Who should we test the drugs on? You only have to look at the fiasco that happened here with human trials of a drug a little over 2 months ago where 4 guys almost died from taking a small amount of a drug in a trial.

Pro testing is far better and more productive than protesting. Animal rights protesters are scum. They are the lowest form of life. When they resort to digging up the bones of a grandmother and stealing them away to blackmail her relatives to stop breeding guinea pigs for animal testing – that is just too sick.

As for Whaling – you must look at the bigger picture as Ludo says. Look at the Faroe islands. Whaling kept them alive in pre-history. It was their best source of nutrition. It is part of their culture and anyone who denies their cultire pure evil.
